Urban Food Production Survey

The Urban Food Table is an advisory group to the City of Victoria and brings together organizations and citizens who are passionate in the areas of urban food production, backyard poultry, pollinator and boulevard gardening efforts.

As part of our strategic priorities for 2018, we are undertaking an inventory of food being grown on private land in Victoria – to establish a baseline for measuring progress toward local food production targets. We are turning to you to help this project succeed by encouraging residents of your community to fill out our survey.
The survey is 10-15 minutes in length and we are looking for participation by residents who do, or do not produce their own food and raise animals. The survey is open to all Victoria residents and includes single family homes and multi-unit dwellings. The deadline to fill out the survey is October 15th.

We ask for your help spreading the word in connecting with members of your community to help us gain an idea of how much food is grown in our beautiful garden city of Victoria. We are also offering a prize to the neighbourhood that achieves the highest participation rate!

We would also love to learn about any food-related events or initiatives and find out if the Victoria Urban Food Table can help connect them to the broader community.
