A big Corn Roast THANK YOU!
On September 15 Raynor Street the sun was bright, the smiles were large, the music was great, the zucchinis were fast, the scarecrows were scary and the corn was delicious at the 13th Annual Corn Roast. THANK YOU Michell’s Farm for the corn and zukes. THANK YOU Fry’s Bakery for the roasting.
The judges deliberated over the 8 delicious apple pies…it’s a hard job! In the end Valerie Barr was the blue ribbon winner, and the line was long in anticipation for a taste of the prize pie.
But every pie and every scarecrow was a winner because local businesses were so generous with their donations. THANK YOU to Spiral Cafe, Spinnakers, la Taquisa, Fry’s Bakery, Castle Building Supplies, Botany Fern and Flora, Sailor Jacks, Kali, RPlace, Browns Craft House, The Market Garden and Il Terrazo Ristorante.
All the fun was only possibly because of the hard working volunteers, the talented musicians and Community Centre staff – THANK YOU!
