This is a gentle, mindful therapeutic informed yoga class for people who are interested in bringing mindful awareness into the aging process of their life. Mindful practices will be introduced starting with breath awareness, relaxation and concentration as an introduction to meditation. Themes will include compassion, kindness, gratitude, forgiveness and love, starting from the inside and expanding outwards.
Agility and mobility exercises for any ability will gently promote joint movements providing nourishment and hydration and increasing mindful body awareness. All movements can be done on a chair, the class is wheelchair accessible.

Regina Pfeifer is certified as an Advanced Teacher of the Therapeutic Benefits of Yoga (CYA-RYT500), and an Ayurvedic Wellness Counsellor. She has taken special training in working with seniors and people who have experienced cancer or other health challenges, as well as traumatic life events. She have been practicing yoga for more than 11 years and am continuing her studies with Ajna Yoga in Victoria, working towards a 1000-hour IAYT Yoga Therapist certification that she hopes to complete before the end of 2017.
